Surface Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are clean dry, sound and free from all laitance, fungal growth, grease, oil or loose and flaking particles.
Bonding / Priming
All surfaces (except metal) – Dilute a.b.e.® duraroof with 10% clean water and prime total area to be covered. Allow to dry for
±30 minutes.
Metal surfaces only – Prime with a.b.e.® 4-metal primer. This not only gives excellent adhesion but resists rust. Allow drying for 4 hours.
Mixing
Stir well before use.
Coverage
Spread rates are approximate subject to surface profile and porosity.
Recommended WFT: 163 microns per coat.
Theoretical spreading rate:
5 – 6 m² / L per coat on rough or absorbent surfaces.
7 – 8 m² / L per coat on smooth, non-porous surfaces.
Application
All surfaces after priming: brush or roll on a 1st coat of a.b.e.® duraroof and allow to dry 2 – 3 hours.
Apply the 2nd coat of a.b.e.® duraroof and allow to hard dry for 24 hours.
Work roof sections downwards completing a tile or sheet at time.
Avoid lap marks by also keeping a wet edge during application.
Do not apply if rain is imminent.
Cleaning
Tools must be cleaned immediately after use and before material has set with a.b.e.® super brush cleaner followed by washing with soap and water.
Protection On Completion
Whilst a.b.e.® duraroof is designed for extended life, it is important to apply a maintenance coat of a.b.e.® duraroof every 3 years.
Packaging
Available in 20 L containers.
