Uses
Ideal for use on door and window frames, skirting boards, ceilings, walls architraves and plasterboard.

Colour
Surface Preparation
Contact area must be dry, clean, sound and free from contaminating substances such as oil, grease, asphalt tar and dust. Clean and degrease surface (such as stainless steel, aluminium, wood, granite, masonry, concrete and ceramic) with methylated spirits, iso propanol or alcohol. Dampness in porous substrates can be tolerated.
Bonding / Priming
Priming not required. On damp and porous surfaces (wood, granite, masonry and concrete), painters mate can be applied as a first coat when diluted (1:2) with water.
Coverage
Dependant on the joint size.
Application
Cut tip of nozzle at the angle required. Apply painters mate sealant from a caulking gun using sufficient pressure to ensure adequate contact with sides of joint. The surface of the joint may be smoothed over with a little liquid soap and water.
Cleaning
Tools, brushes and mixing equipment should be cleaned immediately after use and before material has set by washing with soap and water.
Protection / Maintenance on Completion
No special protection needed. May be coated with high quality PVA acrylic paint.
Packaging
painters mate is available in 310 ml cartridges.
Handling & Storage
Shelf life of 12 months, but shorter if in extreme conditions. Keep tightly sealed in a dry cool place in the original packaging.
Health & Safety
painters mate should not be allowed contact with skin and eyes. The use of gloves and eye protection is advised. Splashes into eyes should be washed immediately with plenty of clean water and medical advice sought.
Cured painters mate is inert and harmless.
