Application
Where applicable, areas adjacent to the joints should be masked with masking tape to prevent contamination and to ensure a neat sealant line. The masking tape should be removed immediately after tooling.
Cut the tip of nozzle at the angle required. Apply abe® silicone from a caulking gun using sufficient pressure to ensure adequate contact with sides of joint. The surface of the joint may be smoothed over with a tooling spatula that has been sprayed with a mild solution of liquid soap and water to ensure good contact between the sealant and substrate.
Cleaning
Tools should be cleaned immediately after use and before material has set with abe® super brush cleaner followed by washing with soap and water.
Protection on Completion
abe® silicone needs no protection on completion as it is UV resistant. abe® silicone must not be overcoated.
Application Temperature
5ºC to 40ºC.
