Two component epoxy/non structural boat building adhesive and fairing compound.

Solvent free, filled, polyamide cured epoxy. This product does not contain asbestos.

Surface Preparation

The surface to which epidermix 201 is to be applied must be thoroughly CLEAN, mechanically SOUND, and DRY.

Bonding / Priming

Self priming.

Mixing

Stir each component thoroughly, then add the contents of the activator tin to the contents of the base tin and mix thoroughly with a flat metal bar or by means of a slow speed electric drill, fitted with a suitable paddle.

Application

Apply to the prepared surface with a steel trowel to the desired thickness. When used as a fairing compound, the material can be stiffened by mixing in small amounts of fumed Silica or fillite beads.

Fairing may commence after 72 hours.

Cleaning

Clean tools with abe® super brush cleaner followed by rinsing with clean water. Tools must be cleaned immediately after use and before the material has been set.

Protection on Completion

Paint for UV protection after 7 days.

Model Specifications

Two-component, slow curing epoxy paste used as a scraper or fairing compound.

The scraper/fairing compound shall be epidermix 201, a two component, solvent free, polyamide cured epoxy system applied in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations,
a.b.e.® Construction Chemicals.

The compound shall remain flexible when fully cured.

Handling & Storage

This product has a shelf life of 24 months if kept in a dry cool place in the original packaging. In more extreme conditions this period might be shortened.

Health & Safety

Uncured epidermix 201 is toxic and excessive skin contact and inhalation should be avoided. Work in well ventilated conditions. Hands should be protected with rubber gloves or suitable barrier cream.
