Surface Sealant
One-pack acrylic porous surface conditioner. Solvent carried acrylic resin.
Uses
- abe.® cote 222 bonds loose, friable surfaces and reduces surface absorption.
- abe.® cote 222 is used to seal mineral substrates such as concrete, masonry, brick and unglazed tiles and provides a sound surface for an acrylic waterbased finishing coat.

Surface Preparation
The substrate must be clean, sound and dry. Concrete laitance, dust, dirt and loosely adhering existing emulsion paint should be
removed mechanically.
New concrete must be at least 21 days old prior to coating. See data sheet ‘Preparation of Surfaces’ for the elimination of fungi
and algae, use bleach and rinse with water.

PROPERTIES OF CURED MATERIAL | |
The dried films are light fast, dirt repellent and resistant to aging. By virtue of their high resistance to CO2, the substrate is effectively protected against the effects of CO2 and SO2. The substrates ability to breathe is barely affected. |

Handling and Storage
This product has a shelf life of 24 months if kept in a dry cool place in the original packaging. In more extreme conditions this period might be shortened.
Health and Safety
Wet abe.® cote 222 is toxic and flammable. Always ventilate the working area well during application and drying. Avoid flames in the vicinity. Always wear gloves and eye protection when working with the material and avoid excessive inhalation and skin contact.
If material is splashed in the eye, wash with copious quantities of clean water and seek medical attention. CURED it IS INERT AND
HARMLESS.
Liquids and powders require eye protection. When transporting liquids and semi liquids by aircraft, ask for material safety data
sheet.
