a.b.e.®, part of the CHRYSO Southern Africa Group, is introducing a new, painters’ acrylic to complement its current offering of silicone sealants to the retail market.
The well-known range to hardware retail stores is:
• a.b.e.® silicone sealant: A multi-purpose sealant, ideal to create hygienic exterior and interior seals. The product is packaged in 280ml cartridges and available in white, clear, black, and grey;
• a.b.e.® acrylic sealant: A flexible, paintable filler with fast-curing qualities allow for painting after only an hour. The new product is available in white, and packaged in 280ml cartridges;
• a.b.e.® acrylic sealant: A flexible, paintable filler with fast-curing qualities allow for painting after only an hour. The new product is available in white, and packaged in 280ml cartridges;
• a.b.e.® gasket silicone sealant: A high-temperature-resistant silicone sealant that can withstand temperatures of up to 300 degrees Celsius. Available in red, 280ml cartridges; and
• a.b.e.® filler foam: A polyurethane self-moulding fixing foam that expands 50 times with excellent adhesion, and can easily be cut and painted. It comes in 500ml tins and a creamy yellow colour.
• a.b.e.® chemical anchor: A low VOC, styrene free, polyester resin chemical anchor suitable for a wide variety of uses where structural anchoring from medium to heavy loads on brick, masonry, concrete, marble, natural stone and wood is required.
• theWorks sealant and adhesive, Painters Mate acrylic sealant, Dow Corning 813C and Dow Corning 799 construction and joint silicone.
The new product,a.b.e.® painters acrylic, is a flexible paintable filler available in a 310 ml cartridge which can be applied by both contractors and DIY home improvers for use on window and door frames, skirting boards, ceilings, walls, architraves and plasterboard.
Elrene Smuts, a.b.e.® Communications Manager, says: “Like our other acrylic fillers, this new sealant has excellent adhesion, is fast cure and paintable in 1 hour with 10% joint movement and water resistant once cured.”
She says this acrylic will be displayed with the rest of the silicone sealant range on the retail shelves in the noticeable a.b.e® packaging.
